Frequently asked questions

What is the best laptop under €800 for travelling in Italy?

The Acer Aspire Go 15 AI, ASUS Vivobook S14 (S3407QA) and Acer Aspire 14 AI are strong options under €800. Choose based on whether you prioritise screen size, lighter portability, battery life or overall performance.

How much battery life do travel laptops under €800 usually offer?

Most efficient laptops in this price range can cover a substantial workday with moderate use, although brightness, video calls and mobile connectivity reduce runtime. Check independent battery tests and carry a USB-C charger or power bank where supported.

Are these laptops light enough for train travel in Italy?

The ASUS Vivobook S14 and Acer Aspire 14 AI are particularly convenient for carrying between trains, cafés and hotels. The Acer Aspire Go 15 offers a larger display but may take up slightly more space in a travel bag.

What ports should an Italian traveller look for in a laptop?

Useful travel ports include USB-C for charging and accessories, USB-A for older devices, HDMI for hotel or meeting-room displays, and a headphone jack. A compact USB-C hub can add flexibility when a thin laptop has fewer built-in ports.
