    ASUS Zenbook A14 (UX3407)

    Why it fits you

    • The lightest and most travel-friendly choice, weighing under 1 kg while providing strong everyday performance, Wi-Fi 7, USB-C charging, and long battery life.
    • It is substantially more portable than the two MacBook Pro options, but its integrated graphics and Windows-on-ARM software compatibility make it less suitable for demanding creative workloads.

    • This is the strongest balance of portability, sustained performance, display quality, connectivity, and battery life for frequent travel.
    • It is markedly more capable than the Zenbook for professional workloads while remaining easier to carry than the 16-inch MacBook Pro. The larger model offers more screen space, but this version is the more versatile mobile workstation.

    Frequently asked questions

Which laptop over €2,000 is best for travelling in Italy?

The ASUS Zenbook A14 is the lightest, most travel-focused option, while the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models suit buyers who prioritise sustained performance, premium displays and longer-term creative workloads.

How much battery life should I expect from a travel laptop in Italy?

Real-world battery life varies by brightness, workload and connectivity, but these premium models are designed to handle extended work sessions away from a socket. Apple silicon MacBook Pro models are particularly strong for efficient productivity and media tasks.

Is a 14-inch or 16-inch MacBook Pro better for travel?

The 14-inch MacBook Pro is easier to carry on trains and flights, while the 16-inch version provides more screen space and typically better sustained cooling. Choose the larger model if you regularly edit video, code or work with multiple windows.

What ports should a travel laptop have for working in Italy?

Useful travel connectivity includes USB-C or Thunderbolt for charging and docks, plus HDMI, an audio jack and, where available, an SD card reader. Check the exact configuration before buying if you need to connect hotel displays, cameras or wired accessories.
