Frequently asked questions

What refresh rate should a gaming TV in Portugal have?

A 120Hz panel is the best choice for PS5, Xbox Series X and compatible gaming PCs because it can display smoother motion and support 120fps gameplay. A 60Hz TV is suitable for casual gaming but offers less headroom.

Do these TVs support HDMI 2.1 and VRR for PS5 and Xbox?

The recommended models are designed around modern gaming features, but HDMI 2.1 bandwidth and VRR support can vary by input. Check the exact port specifications before buying, especially if you need 4K at 120Hz.

Is Mini LED, QLED or LED better for gaming?

Mini LED and QLED TVs generally offer higher brightness and stronger contrast than standard LED models, which helps HDR games look more impactful. OLED delivers excellent contrast and response times, but models under €700 may be less common in Portugal.

How bright should a gaming TV be for a bright room?

For a sunny living room, choose a high-brightness Mini LED or QLED TV to reduce washed-out HDR highlights and improve visibility. In a darker room, contrast and black levels become more important than maximum peak brightness.
