Frequently asked questions

Is OLED or QLED better for watching movies in Portugal?

OLED usually delivers deeper blacks, pixel-level contrast and excellent viewing angles, making it ideal for films in a darker room. QLED and premium LED TVs can be brighter and may suit rooms with strong daylight better.

Which HDR formats should a premium TV in Portugal support?

Look for HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision for broad coverage across streaming services and broadcast content. HDR10+ can also be useful, although availability varies by app and title.

Do I need 120Hz and HDMI 2.1 if I mainly stream films?

They are not essential for movie streaming, but 120Hz can improve motion handling and HDMI 2.1 adds useful future-proofing. These features matter most if you also connect a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X or gaming PC.

Which smart TV platform is best for streaming in Portugal?

The best platform depends on the apps and interface you prefer, but Google TV, webOS and Panasonic’s smart platform support the major streaming services available in Portugal. Check that your preferred apps, casting features and voice controls are included before buying.
