    Frequently asked questions

What refresh rate is best for watching sports on a TV in Portugal?

A native 120Hz refresh rate is ideal for sports because it produces smoother motion during fast plays, camera pans and racing. It also supports modern consoles and gaming features more effectively than a 60Hz panel.

Is OLED or QLED better for sports in a bright Portuguese living room?

QLED and advanced LED TVs generally offer higher peak brightness, making them easier to see in sunny rooms. OLED delivers excellent contrast and fast response, but a bright QLED model may be the better choice for daytime viewing.

Do these sports TVs need HDMI 2.1 and VRR?

HDMI 2.1 and VRR are not essential for television broadcasts, but they are valuable for PS5, Xbox Series X and PC gaming. They enable features such as 4K at 120Hz, reduced tearing and smoother gameplay.

Which HDR formats should a sports TV support?

HDR10 is widely supported, while Dolby Vision can improve compatible streaming content with dynamic picture adjustments. HDR10+ is also useful on services and content that support it, although broadcast sports may use more limited HDR formats.
