    Frequently asked questions

What refresh rate is best for watching sports on a TV in Germany?

A native 120Hz panel is ideal for smoother football, tennis and motorsport motion, especially during fast camera pans. It can also support 120Hz gaming when paired with a compatible console.

Is QLED or LED better for sports in a bright German living room?

QLED and QD-Mini LED TVs typically offer higher brightness and stronger colour volume than standard LED models, helping sports remain clear in daylight. OLED delivers excellent contrast but may be less suitable if the room is consistently very bright.

Do I need HDMI 2.1 and VRR for a sports TV?

HDMI 2.1 and VRR are not essential for watching broadcasts, but they are valuable for PS5, Xbox and PC gaming. A 120Hz TV with VRR can make fast sports games feel smoother and reduce tearing.

Which HDR formats should a sports TV support?

HDR10 is widely supported, while Dolby Vision can improve compatible streaming content with scene-by-scene optimisation. HDR matters most when the TV has sufficient peak brightness to show highlights clearly.
