Our pick

Xiaomi TV A 43 2025

Why it fits you

The most affordable choice and a sensible fit for everyday sports viewing in a smaller room.
Its 4K picture, MEMC motion smoothing, and Google TV provide good basic usability.
Compared with the larger Xiaomi, it gives up screen size; compared with the Samsung, it has less fluid motion for fast-moving play. The smaller display is the main practical compromise.

Xiaomi TV A 55 2025

Why it fits you

This is the strongest everyday choice for most sports viewers because its 55-inch screen offers a more immersive view without becoming difficult to place.
4K resolution, MEMC motion smoothing, and Google TV cover the essentials. It is more engaging than the 43-inch model, while the Samsung remains better for especially rapid action thanks to its higher refresh rate.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best TV under €700 for watching sports in France?

The Samsung Q70H QLED is a strong choice for sports because its QLED panel delivers vivid colour and high brightness. The Xiaomi TV A 55 2025 offers a larger screen at a potentially lower price.

Is 120Hz important for watching football and tennis?

Yes, a 120Hz panel can make rapid camera pans and moving players look smoother than 60Hz. It is especially useful for live football, tennis and motorsport, although broadcast quality also affects the result.

Are QLED TVs better than LED TVs for sports in a bright French living room?

QLED TVs generally offer higher brightness and stronger colour volume than standard LED models, which can help in rooms with daylight. A good LED TV can still perform well if you watch mostly in controlled lighting.

Do these TVs support HDMI 2.1 and VRR for sports gaming?

The Samsung Q70H QLED is the most suitable option of these picks for advanced gaming features such as high refresh rates, VRR and HDMI 2.1, depending on the exact regional model. Check the French product listing before buying, as specifications can vary by size and market.
