Frequently asked questions

Can I play modern games on a gaming laptop under €450 in Portugal?

Yes, but expect to use low or medium settings in demanding games. These laptops are better suited to esports titles and older AAA games, while newer releases may need reduced resolution or upscaling.

How much RAM should a gaming laptop under €450 have?

Aim for at least 16GB of RAM for smooth gaming and multitasking. If a model has 8GB, check whether the memory can be upgraded, as modern games and Windows can quickly use the available capacity.

Is an RTX graphics card available in gaming laptops under €450?

An RTX GPU is uncommon at this price in Portugal and may require a sale or refurbished model. Entry-level dedicated graphics or integrated Radeon graphics can still handle esports gaming at suitable settings.

What ports should a gaming laptop have for gaming in Portugal?

Look for HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, a headphone jack and preferably Gigabit Ethernet for stable online play. Wi-Fi 6 is also useful, especially if you normally connect without a network cable.
