    Frequently asked questions

Is OLED or QLED better for high-end gaming in bright American living rooms?

OLED TVs like the LG C6 offer unmatched contrast and pixel-perfect response times, making them ideal for dark-room gaming. However, Neo QLED models like the Samsung QN900F provide massive peak brightness that fights glare much better in bright US living spaces.

Do these premium TVs support 4K 120Hz and VRR for PS5 and Xbox Series X?

Yes, flagship TVs over $2,500 come equipped with multiple HDMI 2.1 ports supporting 4K at 120Hz (or up to 144Hz for PC), alongside Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for tear-free console gaming.

Why does HDR format support matter when choosing a high-end gaming TV?

LG TVs support Dolby Vision, which is widely used in gaming, while Samsung displays utilize HDR10+. Both formats dynamically optimize brightness and color on a frame-by-frame basis, though compatibility depends on your gaming console or PC setup.

Should I worry about OLED screen burn-in when gaming for long sessions?

Modern premium OLEDs like the LG C6 and Samsung S95F feature advanced pixel-shift and cooling technologies that significantly reduce burn-in risks, making them highly reliable even for extended gaming sessions with static HUDs.
