Samsung Galaxy Tab S11

Why it fits you

The Galaxy Tab S11 is the most affordable option here while offering an excellent compact drawing canvas, a 120Hz AMOLED display, and an S Pen included in the box.
It is lighter and more portable than both iPad models, making it particularly convenient for handwritten notes and mobile sketching.
Its main trade-off is that iPadOS has a broader selection of professional creative apps.

Apple iPad Air 13-inch (M4)

Why it fits you

The iPad Air 13-inch (M4) provides the best balance of a spacious drawing surface, strong performance, low weight, and Apple Pencil Pro support.
Its large color-accurate display is better suited to detailed illustration and comfortable long-form note-taking than the smaller Samsung. Compared with the iPad Pro, it gives up the OLED contrast and 120Hz ProMotion panel but retains ample performance for most creative workflows.

Apple iPad Pro 13-inch (M5)

Why it fits you

The iPad Pro 13-inch (M5) is the most capable drawing tablet here, combining a large tandem-OLED canvas, adaptive 120Hz ProMotion, Apple Pencil Pro support, and the highest performance.
It offers the smoothest pen response and strongest HDR image quality for demanding illustration, design, and multimedia work. It is substantially more expensive than the iPad Air and less portable than the Galaxy Tab S11, so its advantages matter most to professionals and enthusiasts.
