    Our pick

MSI Cyborg 15 Laptop RTX 5050

    Why it fits you

    • Best Value and the least expensive option here, with dedicated RTX graphics in a more portable 15-inch gaming chassis.
    • It is a reasonable fit for gaming on the move, but its graphics performance has less headroom for demanding ray-traced games than the two RTX 5080/5090 systems.
    • The larger Lenovo and MSI offer substantially stronger gaming performance, at the cost of greater size and weight.

    MSI Titan 18 HX

    Why it fits you

    • Premium Pick for the strongest gaming performance of these three, with flagship RTX 5090 graphics and a large 18-inch high-refresh screen.

    Frequently asked questions

What GPU should I look for in a gaming laptop over £1,750 in the UK?

Choose a GPU based on the resolution and settings you want to play at, and compare independent performance tests for your games. Models such as the MSI Cyborg 15 RTX 5050, Lenovo Legion Pro 7 and MSI Titan 18 HX can sit in different performance classes, so check each configuration.

How much RAM and SSD storage do I need for laptop gaming?

For modern games and multitasking, 16GB of RAM is a useful baseline, while 32GB offers more headroom. A 1TB SSD is a practical starting point, especially if you install several large games.

How long does a gaming laptop battery last when gaming?

Gaming laptops typically run for much less time under demanding games than during light browsing, and many perform best when plugged in. Check reviews for measured battery life and carry the power adapter if you need to game away from an outlet.

What screen, keyboard and ports matter on a gaming laptop?

Look for a screen resolution and refresh rate that match your GPU, plus a keyboard that feels comfortable for long sessions. Check for the ports you need, such as USB-A, USB-C, HDMI and Ethernet, and consider the laptop’s weight if you will travel with it.
