Best Gaming Laptops over €2,000 in the Netherlands

Shopping for a high-end gaming laptop in the Netherlands? These picks cover three priorities: strong value, all-round performance and premium gaming features. Compare the Razer Blade 16, Acer Predator Helios 18 and Asus ROG Strix SCAR 18 by their CPU and GPU class, memory, storage and display.

Powerful components and large, fast screens can make these machines heavy, and battery life is often limited during demanding games. Consider keyboard comfort, screen size, portability and the ports you need for a mouse, headset or external monitor before choosing.

Best Overall — Acer Predator Helios 18 (2024)

    Why it fits you

    • Its large, fast display and powerful graphics make it a strong choice for immersive gaming while still being a gaming laptop that can be moved between locations.
    • It provides a more expansive screen than the Razer Blade 16, with less emphasis on compact portability. The ROG Strix SCAR 18 is the closest alternative, while the Razer is the more carry-friendly option.

Premium Pick — Asus ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2024)

    Why it fits you

    • This premium 18-inch gaming machine combines a large high-refresh display, strong graphics, and generous memory for demanding games and multitasking.
    • It is the most substantial choice here, best suited to users who value screen size and high-end configuration over light travel weight. The Helios 18 is a close large-screen rival, while the Blade 16 is distinctly more compact.

    Frequently asked questions

How long does a gaming laptop battery last while gaming?

Expect considerably less battery life during demanding games than during light browsing, and performance may be reduced when unplugged. For gaming, plan to use the laptop with its power adapter.

Is an 18-inch gaming laptop practical to carry in the Netherlands?

An 18-inch model offers a large screen but is generally heavier and bulkier than a 16-inch laptop. Check the laptop and charger weight against your commute and bag before buying.

How much RAM and SSD storage should a gaming laptop have?

For a high-end gaming laptop, 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD are useful targets for modern games and everyday multitasking. Check whether the memory and storage can be upgraded if you expect your needs to grow.

Which ports should I look for on a gaming laptop?

Look for USB-A and USB-C, HDMI for an external display, and an Ethernet port if you prefer a wired connection. A 3.5 mm audio jack and support for charging over USB-C can also be convenient, but verify the exact configuration.
